Classes of Membership

PE Member
A person holding a valid license or certificate of registration as a professional engineer, issued under the laws of any state, territory, possession, or district of the United States.
Annual Dues: $101.00


EI Associate Member Over 30
An Engineer Intern or a graduate of an engineering curriculum or engaged in a postgraduate engineering study, over 30 years of age. An associate member may remain in this classification until eligible for advancement by professional registration to Member but not more than 12 years.
Annual Dues: $101.00


EI Associate Under 30
An Engineer Intern or a graduate of an engineering curriculum or engaged in a postgraduate engineering study, under 30 years of age. An associate member may remain in this classification until eligible for advancement by professional registration to Member but not more than 12 years.
Annual Dues: $65.00


Student Member
A student shall be defined as an undergraduate or graduate matriculate of a school or college of engineering or engineering related sciences. Upon graduation, the Student Member shall, if otherwise qualified, be transferred to the grade of E.I. Associate without application.
Annual Dues: $0.00


Corporate Sustaining
A Sustaining Member is defined as an individual, corporation, society or other entity who would like to contribute to the well-being of the Society. A Sustaining Member shall have no voting privileges nor be able to hold office. The Sustaining Member grade is reserved for those persons not eligible for membership in any other grade. Corporation sustaining members will be recognized with a business card advertisement in the Louisiana Engineer and Surveyor Journal and with a company logo displayed on the LES website. 
Annual Dues: $280.00


Individual Sustaining
A Sustaining Member is defined as an individual, corporation, society or other entity who would like to contribute to the well-being of the Society. A Sustaining Member shall have no voting privileges nor be able to hold office. The Sustaining Member grade is reserved for those persons not eligible for membership in any other grade.
Annual Dues: $65.00


Governmental Employee
A Government Employee Member is defined as an individual that is employed by a governmental agency that would like to contribute to the well-being of the Society. A Governmental Employee Member shall have no voting privileges nor be able to hold office, and is eligible for all other Society benefits.
Annual Dues: $50.00
