Louisiana Engineering Society presents: 8 Hour PDH Life Safety Code Seminar (Bonisch)

NFPA 101 – the Life Safety Code – is issued by NFPA and has been approved as an American National Standard, and adopted by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Attendees should have an intermediate level of NFPA 101 knowledge, and basic understanding of the structure, goals and objectives with this code. Presentation will be in the form of PowerPoint slides and verbal instructional discussions.
It is highly recommended that attendees bring a copy of the Life Safety Code to this class. This will be an interactive class with time for questions and answers. Subject to class participation, the sessions are scheduled to be as follows:
Morning Session – 8:00 am – 12:00 Noon
The morning session will cover the major core chapters of the Life Safety Code: Administration, Referenced Publications, General (Goals, Objectives, Options),
Features of Fire Protection and Building Services (Smoke Control, Elevators, etc.).
Afternoon Session – 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Continuation with discussions on the following NFPA 101 topics: Means of Egress, Business, Building Rehabilitation
Both Sessions (8 hours)
